Arts and Craft Swap

Got spare paint, yarn, fabric, paper or other crafty goods? Bring your surplus supplies, swap with others, or simply attend to see what treasure you can find for your next project.

Attendee to save money, reduce waste and connect with other craft lovers about what they’re working on.

You can drop off supplies on or before the day, or stick around to work on your creative projects alongside others.

How does it work?

·         Drop off your supplies ahead of time or bring them on the day.

·         Swap and discover: browse what’s available and find quality items for your creative projects.

·         Feel like sticking around? Connect with other crafters at the event by using our space to work on your latest craft endeavour.

How do I drop off supplies?

You can drop off craft supplies before the event at any Kingston library branch. Please ensure items are dropped off by Thursday 26 November. If you have goods to donate but can’t make it on the day, that’s fine. 

Alternatively, you can bring items to swap on the day if you plan to attend in person.

What items can I bring?

Please ensure items are unused or of good condition and quality, and are properly contained (e.g. paints, beads, etc.). Suitable items include:

·         Paint and paint brushes

·         Sketchbooks and canvases

·         Scrapbooking, origami, construction or other craft paper

·         Fabric, ribbon, yarn and embroidery thread

·         Coloured pencils and markers

·         Craft kits (unopened)

·         Scrapbooking items

·         Craft related stationery such as scissors, tape, glue, stencil.

·         Other craft accessories, e.g. stickers, beads, pipe cleaners, tissue paper. 

Do I need to book?

No need to book or register your interest for this event. Either drop off items ahead of time, or bring them on the day so you can peruse what’s available.
