Jonathan Butler took pen to paper after investigating a family legend of unsolved murder. In the process he revealed a little-known chapter in Australian military history.

Described as ‘a mix of true crime, history and memoir’, The Boy in the Dress is based in family history but considers the context of the time to provide a compelling narrative.Join us as Jonathan Butler, author of The Boy in the Dress (2022) leads us through the process of turning all that research into a compelling story.
