Event Description

Dawn is the first-born hearing child of deaf parents. Growing up in post-war suburban Melbourne, Dawn constantly crossed between languages and cultures as she witnessed people’s varying attitudes towards differences. As a teacher of English, Literature, and Drama, Dawn sought to challenge how voices of displacement, diversity, and personal histories influence expectations and outcomes.

Dawn will be talking about her book "Unheard Voices". Event includes book sales.
