Event Description
Join bestselling crime author Margaret Hickey as she discusses her gripping new novel An Ill Wind — a haunting rural mystery set in the fictional Victorian town of Carrabeen.
When the body of wealthy wind farm owner Geordie Pritchard is found hanging from one of his own turbines, the community is rocked. At first thought to be suicide, suspicions grow when his widow reveals a series of chilling death threats. As the investigation unfolds, deep divisions in the town rise to the surface — with locals split over the wind farm’s presence, and old tensions reignited.
Margaret Hickey’s evocative writing captures the beauty and danger of the Australian landscape, drawing readers into places both breathtaking and brutal.
Join Margaret for a fantastic evening discussing her latest book, writing and so much more.
