The talk will cover Treaty updates in the state of Victoria, truth-telling, the current landscape of Reconciliation and how allyship is more important now than ever. His presentations cover constructive ways to collaborate and get and stay engaged.

Uncle Charles Pakana (born Keir Wells) is an Aboriginal man of Tasmanian descent who identifies strongly as a Victorian Aboriginal man. He is the second of three successive generations of Aboriginal journalists, is the founder and editor-in-chief of Victorian Aboriginal News, and is committed passionately to truth and positivity in the telling of Victorian Aboriginal stories. Uncle Charles is the Chair of Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place in Banyule and hosts two weekly programs on 3KND radio, The Victorian Aboriginal News Hour and Sixties Sojourn.
