Event Description

Lee Kofman is the author and editor of eight books, including Imperfect (shortlisted for the Nib Literary Award) and Split (longlisted for the ABIA).

Her latest book is The Writer Laid Bare. In her workshop, she teaches writers how to create compelling, well-rounded characters, using dialogue to define characters and reveal relationships.

Participants will learn how to turn real people into memoir characters and explore the elements that make characters engaging.

The workshop covers expressing human complexities, paradoxes, and idiosyncrasies, helping writers develop distinct voices and bring their characters to life on the page.
